Enemies to fail in face of resistant Iranian nation: Sheikh Qassem

Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem praised the late Imam Khomeini for his role in inspiring resistance efforts in Lebanon. He further stated that adversaries would consistently fail in their attempts to confront the resilient Iranian nation.

According to a report by Al Manar English, Sheikh Qassem issued a statement on Thursday to commemorate the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s death. In his statement, Sheikh Qassem emphasized that Lebanon’s resistance drew inspiration from Imam Khomeini’s ideology in its efforts to free land from occupation.

The leader of Hezbollah expressed gratitude to Iran for its support in reclaiming land and defending rights against what was described as Israeli-US aggression. Despite facing significant challenges, Iran is working to maintain the ceasefire and seek a comprehensive end to hostilities in Lebanon, as part of efforts to halt aggression against Iran.

He further stated that the results of the direct talks are deemed absurd and humiliating, and are rejected in Lebanon, as highlighted by the Washington statement which outlines the US-Israeli principles aimed at Lebanon’s alignment with the ‘Greater Israel’ project.

Qassem emphasized that prioritizing the disarmament of the resistance as the foundation of any agreement would undermine Lebanon, pose a threat to its existence, destabilize the nation, and foster internal divisions, ultimately serving the interests of “Israel” by enabling it to accomplish politically what it could not achieve through conflict.
