An international conference commemorating the sixth anniversary of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani’s martyrdom convened on Saturday evening in Mashhad. The event attracted attendees from Iran, Afghanistan, and Lebanon to deliberate on Soleimani’s legacy and the broader concept of resistance.

At the second international conference dedicated to the philosophical teachings of Martyr Soleimani and the unwavering path of resistance, Javad Vahidi emphasized on Saturday that General Soleimani foresaw the establishment of an Islamic civilization founded on the unity and cohesion of Muslims. Vahidi praised Soleimani’s ideology as a lasting and definitive roadmap for resistance movements.

Vahidi asserted that General Soleimani embodied the continuation of the path set forth by the Prophet of Islam, highlighting that through his actions, the martyr exemplified a contemporary representation of Islamic principles in opposing domination, arrogance, and oppression.

He further highlighted that Martyr Soleimani’s profound faith and character secured him an enduring presence in the hearts of people throughout the region. His influence was instrumental in thwarting significant adversarial plots and in cultivating unity among various groups within the Islamic world.

Iran’s Minister of Intelligence, Ahmad Vahidi, underscored the strategic acumen of General Qassem Soleimani, highlighting his comprehensive understanding of adversaries and his ability to counteract attempts to fracture the Muslim community under false pretexts. Vahidi further noted Soleimani’s unwavering support for Shia Hezbollah forces in Lebanon and various Sunni Palestinian groups, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

At the event, Hassan Ali al-Baghdadi, a member of Hezbollah’s Central Council, reiterated dedication to the course established by the late Imam Khomeini, carried forward by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and followed by those who have become martyrs of the Resistance.

Resistance forces continue to stand firm against the Israeli regime and broader regional initiatives. Despite suffering losses, the resilience and strength of the Islamic Ummah remain unwavering.

The Cultural and Social Foundation of Afghan Residents in Iran organized the conference.
