Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned on Tuesday the Israeli aggression that targeted Syria at dawn Tuesday which caused Aleppo International Airport to go out of service.

While the earthquake-affected people in Aleppo are going through difficult conditions, the Zionist entity attacks Aleppo Airport, which is the main route for international aid to reach them, Iranian media outlets quoted Kanaani as saying, describing the Israeli aggression as “a clear example of a crime against humanity.”

Kanaani called upon the responsible international institutions to take immediate and effective measures to stop the crimes of this entity.

He expressed regret that some Western countries and human rights organizations remain silent towards the criminal Zionist entity’s continued brutal and inhumane attacks on Syria, which encourages the aforementioned entity as an aggressor and violator of human rights and international laws and regulations.

The Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression at Tuesday dawn from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, west of Lattakia, targeting Aleppo International Airport, which caused material damage to the airport and causing it to go out of service.
