Israeli occupation forces set fire to warehouse and home in Daraa countryside

Israeli occupation forces advanced into the Wadi al-Raqad area in western Daraa countryside on Thursday and set fire to a warehouse and a house, SANA’s reporter said.

The fire damaged parts of the house before local residents managed to extinguish it following the withdrawal of the Israeli force, the reporter added.

On Wednesday, a force comprising five military vehicles advanced into Wadi al-Raqad through the Tal Abu al-Ghaithar gate, adjacent to the occupied Syrian Golan. The force raided a house, detained several young men inside for about an hour, seized a nearby motorcycle and fired toward uninhabited land before withdrawing.

Israeli forces continue to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, raids on civilian homes, detentions, land bulldozing and attacks involving shelling.

Syria has repeatedly called for Israeli occupation forces to withdraw from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. It has also urged the international community to assume its responsibilities and compel Israel to withdraw fully from southern Syria.
