Syria, Sweden discuss judicial cooperation at UN congress

Syria and Sweden discussed strengthening legal and judicial cooperation, particularly in criminal justice, during a meeting on the sidelines of the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Abu Dhabi.

Mohammad Samer al-Abd, director of international cooperation at Syria’s Ministry of Justice, met a Swedish Justice Ministry delegation led by Ida Kernström, deputy director-general in its division for criminal cases and international judicial cooperation.

The two sides discussed exchanging expertise and other issues of mutual interest at the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
