Trump discreetly transitioned from Air Force One to a smaller US military aircraft following his departure from last month’s NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey. According to reports from American media outlets, this move was triggered by what has been described as an "Iranian threat."
On Monday, a report from The Washington Post revealed that Trump was initially seen boarding an older Air Force One in Ankara under the watchful eye of television cameras. This move led journalists and certain White House staff to assume he would journey to Royal Air Force Mildenhall in the United Kingdom on that aircraft.
The Post has referenced material examined by the newspaper, drawing upon information from a U.S. official acquainted with the operation and an additional individual knowledgeable about Trump’s travel plans.
**Aircraft Switch Uncovered**
Shortly after boarding Air Force One, Trump and several aides were relocated to a smaller Air Force C-32A aircraft. This transition was facilitated by an airport catering truck, typically utilized for transporting meals and supplies, according to the report.
The truck was elevated to the plane’s level and strategically positioned at a door located on the opposite side of the aircraft’s primary entrance.
Reporters traveling with Trump were instructed to keep their window shades down prior to takeoff. Subsequently, Trump departed for Mildenhall on the C-32A aircraft.
The operation occurred amid extensive and unprovoked US military assaults on Iran.
The assaults violated both a ceasefire and a later memorandum of understanding, both of which were designed to stop the cycle of escalation initiated by the American-Israeli offensive against Iran on February 28.
During Trump’s visit to Turkey, Iranian military forces launched a decisive counteraction against perceived violations by targeting American interests in the area.
