Palestinian Health Ministry: Gaza death toll rises to 73,381

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced Wednesday that the death toll resulting from the Israeli military campaign in the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,381, while the number of injured has reached 174,231 since Oct. 7, 2023.

In a statement posted on its Telegram channel, the ministry said hospitals in the Gaza Strip had received the bodies of four people and treated one injured person during the past 24 hours.

The ministry added that since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, 1,254 people have been killed and 4,121 injured.

According to the ministry, a number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble or in areas inaccessible to emergency responders, while ambulance and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them.

The ministry also said the Israeli military campaign had caused a severe humanitarian crisis, resulting in widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure, the collapse of essential services, and deteriorating living conditions due to restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid and reconstruction materials. It added that these restrictions continue despite provisions in the ceasefire agreement permitting such supplies to enter without restrictions.
