Israeli forces detain 9 Palestinians, demolish structures in West Bank raids
Israeli occupation forces detained nine Palestinians on Monday during raids across the occupied West Bank, as settler attacks against Palestinians and Islamic holy sites continued to escalate.
According to WAFA news agency, Israeli forces detained a Palestinian and his son in Zababdeh, southeast of Jenin, and raided Deir Ghazaleh, where they detained and assaulted dozens of young men.
In Tulkarm, Israeli forces detained four Palestinians, including two former prisoners, in Ektaba and Bala’a. A Palestinian and his son were also detained in Mnizil near Yatta after attempting to stop settlers from destroying their crops. Another Palestinian was detained in Nablus.
Israeli forces also demolished an under-construction house and a farm in Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah, along with agricultural structures in Beit Furik and Beit Dajan, east of Nablus.
Demolition notices were distributed to commercial facilities near Jenin, while bulldozing operations continued for the 10th consecutive day on Arrabuna lands, threatening more than 1,000 dunams of agricultural land to make way for a new settlement outpost.
Military checkpoints and road closures were imposed across Hebron, accompanied by home searches in al-Rihiya village.
Meanwhile, dozens of settlers stormed Islamic shrines in Kifl Haris under military protection to perform rituals, while others attacked a commercial vehicle near Nablus and threatened residents in Ramin, east of Tulkarm.
