Zionist Ehud Barak Warns Butcher Netanyahu: Sabotaging Elections Could Lead to Forceful Response
Former Zionist Prime Minister Ehud Barak has urged for the removal of current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "with sticks and stones" should he seek to disrupt the forthcoming general election by initiating military action against Lebanon.

In an interview on Sunday, Barak expressed concern that Netanyahu might attempt to undermine the electoral process, suggesting that if such an attempt were made, the only recourse would be to confront him forcefully.
Netanyahu, 76, has been at the helm of the current coalition government since December 2022.
The Likud party, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, is considered the most right-wing in Israel’s history since the country’s contentious establishment on Palestinian territories in 1948.
The tenure of the Israeli parliament is set to conclude in October 2026, with anticipated elections likely to occur in either September or October of that year.
In a recent warning, Barak cautioned that Netanyahu might attempt to “undermine the elections” by launching an offensive against Lebanon. Such a move could prompt a retaliatory response from the Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah or potentially from Iran.
Barak has issued a warning, suggesting that Netanyahu prefers to prolong the conflict, as he believes that concluding it might hasten proceedings in his trial.
Netanyahu is presently facing trial on corruption charges and is sought by the International Criminal Court (ICC) as of 2024 on allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. The conflict in this region has reportedly resulted in the deaths of over 72,000 Palestinians and injuries to 172,000 others.
Barak criticized Netanyahu for his actions against Iran, stating that “Israel is bearing the consequences of Netanyahu’s arrogance and short-sightedness,” as “none of the goals of the conflict with Iran have been realized.”
He further commented that the ongoing negotiations between Washington and Tehran pose significant challenges for Israel, attributing any forthcoming agreement to Netanyahu’s responsibility.
According to Barak, the ongoing talks between Iran and the United States are described as “a memorandum of understanding rather than an agreement,” noting that it does not effectively tackle issues related to missiles or Iran’s regional allies.
On Monday, the Iranian Supreme National Security Council announced that Tehran and Washington have concluded negotiations on a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the conflict. This agreement calls for an immediate and permanent cessation of military activities across all fronts, including Lebanon, and the lifting of the US naval blockade imposed on Iran.
The Memorandum of Understanding, which was finalized late Sunday, is scheduled to be signed on Friday in Switzerland.
Under the terms outlined, hostilities and all military offensives, including those conducted in Lebanon, have ceased immediately. Additionally, the United States has lifted its naval blockade against Iran.
Subsequent technical and political discussions are anticipated in the wake of the signing to address and clarify implementation particulars.
The joint military action by the United States and Israel targeting Iran was initiated on February 28, 2026.
In a strategic display, the Iranian military has launched a series of daily missile and drone attacks targeting areas under Israeli control and U.S. military installations throughout the region.
Iran has shut down the Strait of Hormuz, leading to a significant surge in global oil prices and related energy commodities.
