Israeli forces storm occupied West Bank towns, abduct ordinary Palestinians

Israeli forces have conducted multiple overnight raids in various regions of the occupied West Bank and al-Quds, raiding several homes and abducting several ordinary Palestinians.

According to local media, Israeli troops abducted seven individuals, including a father and his four sons, during raids in the town of Anata, located east of al-Quds.

In Jenin, a woman and her son were taken away by Israeli occupation forces from their residence in the al-Almaniya district of the city.

Another citizen was kidnapped following an Israeli military raid on his home in the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp in Ariha.

Israeli forces also abducted a young man from his residence in the al-Jalazone refugee camp in Ramallah.

In Bethlehem, Israeli forces invaded the home of Mohamed Dar al-Asass, compelling his family to persuade him to surrender.

Israeli soldiers conducted further raids on homes in other parts of the West Bank, although no arrests were reported in those instances.

In a separate event, extremist Israeli settlers ignited fires in olive groves located in the Marj Sia plain, situated between the villages of al-Mughayir and Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah.

West Bank witnessing ‘alarming’ surge in Israeli settler violence, EU’s top diplomat warns

The EU’s top diplomat has condemned the growing violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank.

Meanwhile, Palestinian citizens successfully retrieved sheep that had been stolen by settlers near the village of Khirbet Abu al-Misbah, west of Ramallah.

These developments come as a greater number of Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces or settlers in the occupied West Bank from 2023 until the end of 2025 than in the total of the preceding 17 years, as reported by the international aid organization Oxfam.

According to data sourced from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Oxfam noted that 1,244 Palestinians, including 268 children, were killed in the West Bank during the period from 2023 to 2025.

In contrast, the analysis revealed that 1,036 Palestinians, comprising 225 children, were killed from 2006 until the end of 2022.

Palestinian statistics indicate that since the onset of the Gaza genocidal war in October 2023, Israeli forces and settlers have killed at least 1,169 Palestinians in the West Bank, including East al-Quds, injured over 12,600 individuals, and abducted approximately 23,000 people.

In a landmark ruling last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory as illegal. It urged the removal of all settlements in the West Bank and East al-Quds.
