Syria’s Red Crescent delivers aid to Al-Bukamal families affected by Euphrates flooding

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) has provided food, health assistance and medical services to 600 families affected by rising Euphrates River water levels in the Al-Bukamal area of eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
The relief operation was carried out by the SARC branch in Deir Ezzor in cooperation with the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor and in coordination with local authorities in Al-Bukamal.
According to the Deir Ezzor Media Directorate, assistance was distributed to residents of the towns of Al-Salihiyah, Qitaat Al-Bukamal, Al-Jalaa and Al-Rumadi.
The aid forms part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to support families affected by flooding caused by the recent rise in the Euphrates River.
In recent days, higher water levels have inundated residential neighborhoods and agricultural land located near the river, affecting communities across parts of eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
