In a statement issued on behalf of Lebanon and its citizens, the Islamic Resistance announced a retaliatory strike in response to what it described as violations by the “Israeli” adversary. This includes an alleged breach of the ceasefire, an attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut, and assaults on villages and civilians in southern Lebanon. On Friday, August 5, 2026, at 14:00, Islamic Resistance fighters launched a series of precise rocket attacks targeting the Shraga base—identified as the administrative headquarters of the Golani Brigade command and the deployment site for the Egoz force—located south of the Nahariya settlement.
