Iran’s Military Threatens Embarrassing Loss for US if Negotiations Are Exploited as Deception Tactic
Iran's military leadership has asserted that its forces are robust and primed to administer a "humiliating defeat" to any coercive adversaries. This statement comes amid warnings that the United States may exploit potential negotiations with Tehran as a facade for further aggressive actions, as conveyed by a high-ranking Iranian military official.

A representative for the Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, issued a warning to the United States and Israel against any miscalculation in assessing the capabilities of Iran’s military. He stated that any such provocations are destined to end in failure.
According to a statement, adversaries of the Islamic Republic have consistently been unsuccessful in their efforts to challenge the nation’s strength.
He stated that if adversaries continue their intimidation, they would face a humiliating defeat, something that has already transpired.
In the wake of Washington’s recent withdrawal from its “Project Freedom” initiative in the Persian Gulf, Shekarchi has reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to respond firmly to any acts of aggression. The armed forces are poised to uphold a “robust and superior strategic posture,” ensuring military readiness and vigilance in the region.
In a dramatic shift, Trump announced on Wednesday that the military operation designed to undermine Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz has been halted less than 48 hours after its commencement. This decision was reached through “mutual agreement,” and Trump cited “great progress” towards a potential deal with Iran.
General Shekarchi cautioned that Washington might attempt to employ negotiations as a means of deception.
On Wednesday, Iran announced that it is currently examining a proposal from the United States, which was delivered via Pakistani mediation. Tehran indicated that it would communicate its response through Pakistan once the evaluation of the proposal is complete.
In a separate report, the Tasnim news agency, referencing an informed source, stated that Tehran has yet to issue a formal response to the proposal, as certain provisions are deemed unacceptable.
