Iranian Envoy Condemns US-Israeli Conflict as Misuse of Advanced Technology Against Humanity

The Iranian representative to the United Nations Commission on Population and Development has denounced the recent alleged US-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic, stating that it symbolizes the misuse of advanced technology against humanity.

At the 59th session of the commission on Wednesday, the envoy condemned the assaults on Iran, describing them as a blatant breach of the UN Charter, which bans threats or the use of force against other nations.

The diplomat characterized the US-Israeli military offensive as emblematic of war crimes and highlighted it as a representation of the misuse of advanced technology against human rights.

The US-Israeli military action against Iran commenced on February 28, marked by airstrikes that resulted in the assassination of senior Iranian officials and commanders.

The Iranian military has carried out 100 waves of successful retaliatory strikes targeting key American and Israeli sites across the region.

Following 40 days of continuous US-Israeli military operations, the United States officially endorsed Iran’s 10-point proposal on April 8 to serve as the groundwork for a ceasefire.

On April 12, delegations from Iran and the United States engaged in discussions in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. However, the talks concluded without a resolution as the American side presented demands deemed excessive.

The parties involved are currently engaging in indirect communication to potentially arrange a second round of negotiations ahead of the expiration of the two-week truce on April 22.

In his address, the Iranian representative urged United Nations member states and those affiliated with the Commission on Population and Development to catalog the misuse of technologies against civilians and to support the advancement of peace and morality as the cornerstone of sustainable development.

The diplomat emphasized Israel’s actions in various regions over the past three years, labeling the nation as a “rebellious regime” and a “war criminal” that continuously threatens global peace and security.
