Iran Reaffirms Commitment to Lebanon’s Sovereignty, Emphasizes Unity in Face of Challenges

The senior diplomat conveyed the statements during a phone conversation with Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, on Friday.
Araghchi underscored the importance of maintaining and bolstering internal unity as a crucial strategy to counter foreign conspiracies aimed at undermining the interests of Lebanese society during these delicate times.
The Israeli regime has significantly intensified its military actions against Lebanon, while also renewing hostilities against the Islamic Republic in collaboration with the United States.
In early March, Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement declared the termination of its strategic patience amid rising tensions, citing ongoing violations of a 2024 ceasefire agreement by the regime.
Hezbollah has reportedly carried out numerous anti-Israeli operations in response to the ongoing conflict.
On Friday, the movement announced that it had executed 103 counter-operations within Lebanon and the occupied regions targeting Israeli sites over the past 24 hours.
Hezbollah has announced that its resistance fighters successfully executed an operation involving the detonation of bombs along the Deir Siryan path and the route linking Tayyebah to Qantarah. This attack targeted Israeli armored vehicles and reportedly resulted in casualties among the Israeli forces.
Missiles were launched towards Galilee, prompting alarm sirens in the Meskaf Aam settlement. Strikes also targeted Israeli military bases in Eliyakim and Tifen, located east of Akka, in addition to Zeiyo in the occupied Haifa port.
In his comments, Araghchi praised the Lebanese top legislator for maintaining a principled stance in favor of Lebanon’s national unity. The legislator also provided an update on the latest Israeli attacks on the country and their repercussions.
Berri emphasized that the objective of the Israeli regime is to dismantle Lebanon’s essential infrastructure and forcibly relocate Lebanese citizens from their homes.
