Iranian Military Initiates Drone Operation, Claims Radar Malfunction Eases Targeting of ‘israeli’ Sites

Iran's military forces have reported an increase in the effectiveness and precision of their operations targeting Israeli military infrastructure following the destruction of portions of Israel's radar network. This development comes as a fresh series of drone strikes have impacted strategic bases and security installations.

The Iranian military has announced enhanced precision and ease in its operations targeting Israeli military infrastructure, following the reported destruction of segments of Israel’s radar network. This development comes amid a fresh series of drone attacks on critical military and security installations.

Iranian forces initiated a new series of drone assaults on key Israeli targets on Thursday, reportedly hitting the Palmachim Airbase, Ovda Airbase, and a significant Shin Bet internal security service center near Tel Aviv, as stated in an official military announcement.

Brigadier General Akraminia, a spokesperson for the army, announced that the dismantling of parts of the adversary’s radar infrastructure has markedly enhanced the operational conditions for Iranian forces.

He stated that with the dismantling of a portion of the adversary’s radar installations at key locations, the continued operations have become more manageable, providing improved access to critical and sensitive areas.

Operations are increasingly gaining precision, a spokesperson stated on state television Thursday. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) claims to have effectively dismantled a substantial segment of US-Israeli radar capabilities, thereby rendering Israeli military sites more susceptible to targeted strikes, according to an Iranian military representative.

The Army has reported that Iranian loitering drones launched an attack on Thursday, targeting the control tower, runway, and aircraft hangars at the Palmachim and Ovda airbases.

Palmachim, situated in close proximity to Tel Aviv, is a pivotal center for Israel’s satellite launch operations and missile testing initiatives. The facility is also home to advanced missile defense systems, including David’s Sling, and operates Hermes-900 drones.

The Ovda Airbase, a key military installation, serves as a principal training center for the Israeli Air Force. This location has additionally accommodated American F-22 fighter jets.

Iran’s military forces have reportedly launched drone strikes on the Shin Bet headquarters, an essential component of the region’s internal security infrastructure, responsible for security coordination and the protection of high-ranking officials and critical sites. Additionally, Iran’s army has allegedly targeted airbases at Palmahim and Ovda, identifying them with Israel.

In response to the substantial aggression initiated by the United States and Israel on February 28, Iran persists with its measured defensive actions, marking the latest in a series of operations.

The attack commenced with the assassination of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with several high-ranking officials. This was followed by extensive strikes targeting both military and civilian infrastructure throughout Iran.

The US-Israeli strikes on Iran have resulted in the deaths of at least 1,348 civilians and injuries to over 17,000 more, with the destruction or damage of nearly 20,000 civilian locations, encompassing schools, hospitals, residential areas, and public service facilities.
