Zionist Offensive Claims at Least 31 Lives in Southern Lebanon Following Hezbollah Attacks

In a significant escalation, Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon have resulted in the deaths of at least 31 individuals, predominantly women and children. The violence comes in the wake of Hezbollah’s active engagement on the front line in support of Iran.

In the Al-Sultaniyeh region, four individuals, including two children and a woman, lost their lives.

In the Al-Shahabiyeh region, the lives of three women were tragically claimed.

Artillery strikes have reportedly targeted the towns of Aitaroun and Aita al‑Shaab.

In South Dahieh, tragic events unfolded as 20 civilians lost their lives and 91 others sustained injuries.

The Health Ministry in Lebanon has reported that a minimum of 149 civilians sustained injuries during the attacks.

The initial estimates are subject to revision and have the potential to increase.

The assaults struck residential structures from both aerial and maritime approaches, lacking any advance notification.

Israel has issued a directive for the immediate evacuation of residents from over 50 villages and towns located in eastern and southern Lebanon. The order advises inhabitants to maintain a minimum distance of one kilometer from infrastructure controlled by Hezbollah.

Areas reported include Srifa, Ma‘roub, Selaa (Sour), Dab‘al, Bafliyeh, Barish, Arzoun, Qlaileh, Al-Shahabiyeh, Dardghaya, Bastiyat, Arab Salim, Hosh al-Rafika, and Yohmor (Western Bekaa), among other locations. In response to the assassination of one of its leaders, Hezbollah has conducted strikes on occupied Haifa.

The Israeli military announced that its strikes were in retaliation to rockets launched by Hezbollah targeting northern regions of occupied Palestine, and cautioned that additional assaults are anticipated in the days ahead.

Earlier on Monday, Hezbollah announced that it launched an attack on the Israeli missile facility at Al-Karmel, near Haifa, using multiple rockets and drones. The group stated that this operation was in response to the killing of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, a revered leader of the Islamic Revolution, and as a defensive measure against ongoing Israeli actions in Lebanon.
