Internal security arrests robbery gang in Masyaf, seizes weapons and stolen goods

The Internal Security Directorate in Masyaf, Hama, on Monday arrested an organized gang of five individuals involved in armed robberies and theft, following extended surveillance and monitoring.
The Ministry of Interior said the operation resulted in the seizure of firearms, explosives, burglary tools, and a stolen vehicle, which was returned to its rightful owner.
The suspects admitted to carrying out multiple thefts targeting cars, farms, and motorcycles, and all have prior criminal records.
Authorities are continuing investigations to take legal action against the perpetrators, emphasizing their determination to pursue anyone threatening citizens’ safety and property.
The ministry noted that the Hama Criminal Investigation Branch dismantled another armed robbery gang on Sunday, arresting four suspects and confiscating weapons. Interior officials said they are strengthening nationwide security through increased patrols, active police units, and enhanced coordination among branches and departments.
