Talks held with UN delegation on advancing transitional justice cooperation

Head of the National Authority for Transitional Justice Abdul Basit Abdul Latif discussed with a UN delegation ways to enhance coordination on transitional justice and mechanisms for implementing it on the ground.

During the meeting, held at the authority’s headquarters in Damascus on Saturday, Abdul Latif stressed the importance of coordination and integration between relevant national and international bodies and strengthening joint work to achieve justice and fairness and to build a state based on the rule of law that respects human dignity and human rights.
