Governor of Sweida urges unity through national dialogue

Sweida Governor Mustafa al-Bakour on Thursday called on residents of the province to engage in a comprehensive national dialogue aimed at promoting unity and overcoming differences.
In a message to the people of Sweida, al-Bakour stressed that the state is a homeland for all citizens, regardless of differing opinions, and that it has the capacity to embrace everyone and safeguard their interests.
He described calm and constructive dialogue among representatives of all parties as the most effective way to resolve disputes, urging the creation of a “National Dialogue Committee” to address community concerns in a realistic and rational manner, free from political or social division.
Al-Bakour said such dialogue serves as a bridge to stability and noted that a society’s strength lies in its ability to discuss differences without undermining goodwill. He added: “Our homeland needs all its citizens, and today’s dialogue is a guarantee for the future of our children.”
