Iran Successfully Dismantles Terrorist Cell Responsible for Tehran Armed Attack
Iran's Ministry of Intelligence has announced the successful dismantling of a terrorist group that penetrated the nation via its western borders with the intent to cause harm during recent unrest. The group had allegedly conducted an armed attack in Tehran.

The Ministry has reported that on the evening of January 8th, a terrorist group launched an assault on a police station in Tehran. Armed with military-grade weapons, the attackers fired over 850 rounds in a bid to take control of the facility and secure its arsenal.
The attack led to the loss of several members of the police force, Basij, and civilians.
During the arrest operation, the terrorists launched an attack on operational forces. In the subsequent exchange of gunfire, one armed terrorist was neutralized, while four others were taken into custody.
In a related declaration, the Ministry of Intelligence revealed that a key organized cell, allegedly responsible for the widespread unrest and subsequent loss of innocent lives in Tehran, has been successfully dismantled.
A number of individuals associated with the organized network and implicated in acts of violence against civilians have been taken into custody.
On Friday, Iranian security forces announced the confiscation of 60,000 weapons destined for Tehran and the dismantling of a terror cell allegedly trained by Mossad. Authorities claim the group took advantage of recent unrest to execute deadly attacks.
The Law Enforcement Command of Iran, known as FARAJA, reported the discovery of 60,000 weapons in connection with rioters in Bushehr. Additionally, authorities confirmed the arrest of two individuals classified as terrorists during the operation.
Initially peaceful protests that began late last month have progressively escalated into violence, with rioters wreaking havoc across various cities nationwide. The unrest has resulted in the deaths of both security forces and civilians, along with attacks on public infrastructure.
Iranian authorities have attributed the recent riots and terrorist activities to the United States and the Israeli government.
The United States and Israel’s Mossad have acknowledged their participation on the ground, as indicated by a tweet from former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who stated, “Happy New Year to every Iranian in the streets. Also, to every Mossad agent walking beside them.”
In a social media post shared in Farsi, Mossad allegedly urged demonstrators to mobilize, stating, “The time has come.” The post further suggested that Mossad agents are not merely providing distant or verbal support but are actively participating alongside the protestors on the ground.
