Analyst: Palestinian Detainees Face Systematic Slow-Kill Tactics in Lethal ‘israeli’ Detention Facilities

A prominent Palestinian author and political analyst has issued a stark warning regarding the increasing crimes and mistreatment experienced by Palestinian detainees within Israeli prisons. The analyst highlighted that these individuals are subjected to a systematic strategy designed to break their spirit and gradually deplete their strength.

Marwan al-Aqra stated that the Israeli regime’s illegal actions have led to the deaths of a significant number of abductees in the past two years, marking an unprecedented toll that exceeds the total number of abductee casualties over a span of more than fifty years.

He emphasized that this is a dangerous indication of the widespread systematic abuse occurring, characterized by deliberate starvation, insufficient nutrition, and ongoing physical and psychological attacks.

Aqra called upon Palestinians, Arab and Muslim communities, and freedom advocates worldwide to embrace their moral and humanitarian duties. He urged them to continually bring attention to the plight of the abductees, ensuring that their cause remains prominent in public awareness and media focus.

The analyst emphasized that this approach will ensure the voices of Palestinian detainees resonate with the international community, and will bring to light the alleged mistreatment they endure within Israeli prisons.

A media campaign was launched earlier this week, urging for the release of Palestinian detainees from Israeli prisons ahead of their potential execution. This initiative aligns with efforts by Israeli authorities to pass legislation that would allow the execution of Palestinian prisoners.

The campaign involves a series of field activities in major capitals and cities across the globe. These activities include the display of red ribbons and the public exhibition of abductees’ photographs in town squares. The efforts will reach their peak on January 31 with a global day of action.

Organizers highlighted the crucial importance of converting public voices into a widespread movement and media phenomenon that demands global attention to the atrocities occurring within prisons.

Individuals have been encouraged to modify their profile pictures by incorporating a red ribbon alongside the Palestinian flag as a sign of solidarity.

The situation regarding the detention of Palestinian captives by Israeli authorities raises serious concerns, marked by substandard hygiene conditions. Additionally, these detainees reportedly suffer ongoing torture, ill-treatment, and systemic oppression.

Palestinian detainees have regularly engaged in prolonged hunger strikes as a form of protest against what they perceive to be their wrongful imprisonment.

According to reports from human rights organizations, Israel allegedly continues to breach the rights and freedoms entitled to detainees as outlined in the Fourth Geneva Convention and international law.
