Syrian Army pledges strong response to new escalations by SDF in eastern Aleppo

The Syrian Arab Army’s Operations Command announced on Monday that it has detected the arrival of additional armed groups at positions held by the SDF organization in the eastern Aleppo countryside, near Maskanah and Deir Hafer.
In a statement to SANA, the Command said intelligence assessment confirmed that the new reinforcements included fighters affiliated with the PKK terrorist organization, along with remnants of the deposed regime.
The Command added that the Syrian Arab Army is closely monitoring the situation on the ground, warning that the deployment of these terrorist groups represents a “dangerous escalation.”
It stressed that any military movement by these groups “will be met with a strong response,” adding that the army “will not stand idle in the face of this serious escalation.”
Earlier on Sunday, the Command also announced that it had detected the SDF organization bringing armed groups and medium to heavy weaponry to the Deir Hafer front, east of Aleppo. It also added that Army forces have been placed on full alert to prepare for all possible scenarios.
