Tehran Unveils International Online Contest for Cartoons and Posters on Terror
A ceremony was held in Tehran to reveal the winners of the international cartoon and poster contest, "Online Terror," which centers on the online boycott of resistance front figures.

The event marked the sixth anniversary of the assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, who was killed by US forces near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020. The attack also claimed the life of Iraqi resistance leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
Organizers highlighted that the festival serves as a cultural counteraction to the adversary’s media initiatives intended to undermine figures associated with resistance.
Western social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook have consistently restricted content related to the martyrdom of General Soleimani and other resistance leaders, referencing U.S. domestic legal frameworks as the basis for their actions.
The festival is held on a global scale, featuring contributions from 270 artists across Asia, 85 from Europe, approximately 80 from Latin America, and various artists hailing from other continents, all specializing in cartoons and posters.
A total of 535 poster submissions were received, with 256 making it through the initial selection phase. Ultimately, 66 pieces were chosen for exhibition and inclusion in the festival publication, from which the winners will be determined.
