Defiant Stance: “We Do Not Fear Threats or Assassinations”

Abdul-Qadir al-Karbala’i reaffirmed the unwavering stance of Iraq's Islamic Resistance, declaring that the group will maintain possession of its weaponry and not relinquish arms.

In a statement released on the official website of the al-Nujaba representative office in Iran, the deputy military commander of the al-Nujaba Movement addressed persistent rumors concerning the disarmament of the Iraqi Islamic Resistance. The statement criticized the continued presence of U.S. forces in Iraq, despite an alleged agreement for their departure and the country’s demands for their withdrawal. The commander accused the U.S. of interfering in Iraq’s internal affairs, citing actions such as arming and training separatist militias and terrorist groups, which are believed to destabilize the nation. These actions, according to the statement, infringe upon Iraq’s national sovereignty and represent a blatant occupation that must be countered through all legitimate means of resistance.

Haj Abdul-Qadir al-Karbala’i underscored that resistance is a legitimate right for nations whose sovereignty has been compromised and whose territories have been occupied. This right, he stated, stems from the dignity and honor inherent in the Iraqi people, a community that has never tolerated humiliation nor ever will.

In his concluding remarks to the occupiers, he emphasized a staunch resolve, stating, “Those who follow the example of Sayyid al-Shuhada [Imam al-Husayn] (peace be upon him) remain undeterred by your threats and assassinations, and will not let the gleam of betrayers’ daggers sow fear in their hearts.”
