Velayati Affirms Iran’s Ongoing Support for Hezbollah

In a meeting held in Tehran on Sunday with Hezbollah’s envoy in Iran, Abdullah Safieddine, Ali-Akbar Velayati affirmed that the Islamic Republic, guided by Ayatollah Khamenei, remains committed to supporting Hezbollah’s efforts on the forefront of resistance.

Safieddine provided Velayati with an update on the political and security landscape in Lebanon and the surrounding region, affirming that Hezbollah had reached an unprecedented level of strength and was fully prepared to safeguard Lebanon’s territorial integrity and protect its citizens.

The group announced its intention to maintain its armed stance.

In light of Israel’s continued breaches of the ceasefire, Hezbollah’s senior official, Safieddine, issued a warning of a decisive response from the group at a time of its choosing.
