IRGC Labels US Embassy Takeover a ‘Strategic Choice’ Balancing Resistance and Surrender

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) of Iran has stated that the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance, also recognized as National Student Day, symbolizes the nation's strategic decision between resistance and submission.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement on Monday to commemorate the anniversary of the November 4, 1979 seizure of the United States embassy in Tehran by Iranian university students.

Documents acquired from the facility, often referred to as the Den of Espionage in Iran, revealed that the compound functioned more as a CIA station rather than a traditional diplomatic mission.

Recently uncovered documents suggest that the United States perceives diplomacy not as a means of constructive engagement, but rather as a guise for infiltration, deception, regime change, and intelligence operations, intending to strike at a strategically advantageous time.

The IRGC has declared that the occupation of the Den of Espionage signifies a pivotal decision between embracing resistance, dignity, and independence, as opposed to opting for compromise, submission, and surrender.

According to an elite military force, the tension between Iran and the United States is not merely a political misunderstanding, but rather stems from a fundamental conflict of interests.

The statement asserts that antagonism towards Iran has been embedded as a consistent strategy by the White House since the 1953 coup, persisting through the 1979 Islamic Revolution and continuing over the subsequent five decades.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) asserted that the United States’ recent actions towards Iran, including its cooperation with Israel during the 12-day conflict in June, indicate a continuing strategy of intervention, pressure, deception, and threats aimed at undermining the Iranian nation and its independent political system, the Islamic Republic.

The National Student Day serves as a reminder of what is described as the criminal nature of the United States, illustrating that the steadfast and revolutionary Iranian populace will remain resolute against domination and deception by what they term as global arrogance, according to the statement.

The IRGC has urged the Iranian populace, spanning various sectors of society, to join the nationwide demonstrations scheduled for Tuesday. These rallies are intended to mark the anniversary of the embassy seizure, a significant emblem of resistance and opposition to perceived imperialist forces.
