IRGC Chief Picks New Deputy

The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps appointed Brigadier General Hojjatollah Qoreishi as the IRGC deputy commander for coordination.

Major General Mohammad Pakpour named General Qoreishi the IRGC deputy commander for coordination in a decree on Sunday.

General Qoreishi has replaced Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi.

He has the experience of holding senior military posts in the Defense Ministry.

General Naqdi, who had served as  IRGC deputy commander for coordination since May 2019, was appointed as a senior adviser to the IRGC commander.
