US Military Aircraft and Helicopter Downed Following Yemen Operation
The United States Navy experienced the loss of a fighter jet and a helicopter, both operating from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, following two separate crashes in the South China Sea on Sunday afternoon. The incidents occurred within a 30-minute span.

The fleet has confirmed that the three crew members aboard the MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter have been successfully rescued, along with the two aviators from the F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jet who ejected and were also recovered unharmed. All five individuals involved are reported to be in stable condition. An investigation is underway to determine the causes of the two crashes, the fleet’s statement indicated.
The US Pacific Fleet reported that a US Navy MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, part of the Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 73 known as the “Battle Cats,” went down in the South China Sea on October 26, 2025, at around 2:45 p.m. local time. The incident occurred during routine operational activities. The announcement was made via a post on X.
The USS Nimitz is set to return to its home port at Naval Base Kitsap in Washington state following a deployment to the Middle East throughout the summer. This mission was part of the United States’ satanic response to actions taken by Yemeni forces against their stance to Israel.
The aircraft carrier has embarked on its last mission prior to being decommissioned.
