Yemeni forces at apex of readiness to respond to any aggression: Official

A high-ranking member of the Yemeni Supreme Political Council says the Arab nation’s armed forces are at the apex of their combat readiness, and are prepared to fight off any potential acts of aggression.

“We, hereby, declare that Yemen is closely monitoring the Zionist enemy’s commitment to the Gaza ceasefire agreement, and is fully prepared to confront any attempt to violate the deal and cross the red lines,” Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said in a statement.

He emphasized that the military is at the peak of its operational and combat readiness, warning the enemies that any misstep against Yemen would provoke a forceful and “unpredictable” response.

Houthi further noted that the Sana’a-based Yemeni government strongly opposes the ongoing Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip, restrictions on aid deliveries to the coastal territory, and repeated violations of the Gaza ceasefire by the occupying Tel Aviv regime.

The senior Yemeni official finally held the United States and other mediators – Egypt and Qatar – responsible for disregarding violations of the ceasefire agreement clauses by the Israeli regime, and subsequent potential dangers.

Yemen’s Ansarullah warns of escalation if Israel abandons Gaza ceasefire

Yemen’s Ansarullah leader says the country is fully prepared to escalate operations if Israel fails to uphold the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

In response to the escalating genocidal Israeli war on Gaza that commenced in October 2023, Yemeni forces implemented a strategic maritime blockade aimed at hindering the supply of military resources to Israeli-occupied territories, while calling upon the international community to confront the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

At the same time, they carried out numerous missile and drone assaults on critical targets situated in the Israeli-occupied regions, illustrating their solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.

According to the health ministry of Gaza, Israeli attacks have claimed the lives of more than  68,200 Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip since October 2023.
