This incident triggered a series of airstrikes, which Palestinians report resulted in 26 fatalities, marking the most significant test of the truce established earlier this month.

Humanitarian aid was anticipated to recommence in Gaza on Monday, October 20, owing to US diplomatic efforts, according to an Israeli security official. This development follows Israel’s earlier decision to suspend aid deliveries, citing what it described as a “blatant” breach of the truce by Hamas.
