The zionist military declared late Sunday that it had "reinstated enforcement of the ceasefire" in the Gaza Strip following a deadly series of strikes earlier, resulting in the deaths of at least 45 Palestinians.
The military has stated that its recent attacks were retaliatory measures following a breach of a ceasefire by Hamas. This violation reportedly involved targeting military personnel and resulted in the deaths of two Israeli soldiers in Rafah.
Hamas’s military faction has distanced itself from the incident, asserting it had “no knowledge” of the clashes and reiterating its adherence to the ceasefire agreement.
Izzat al-Rishq, a representative of the political bureau of Hamas, accused Israel of persistently violating their agreement while concocting tenuous justifications for its actions.
Western media has reported that the cessation of Israeli strikes came as a result of pressure from the Trump administration, which urged Israel to show restraint in order to preserve the agreement.
According to Israeli media, U.S. representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are anticipated to visit Israel on Monday, followed by the arrival of Vice President J.D. Vance on Tuesday.
The trio had plans to convene with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and high-ranking officials in an effort to progress the ceasefire discussions.
A delegation from Hamas, headed by group leader Khalil al-Hayya, arrived in Egypt on Sunday to monitor the execution of the recently established Gaza ceasefire agreement.

Earlier in the day, the entry of aid was halted due to reported breaches of the ceasefire agreement.
The ceasefire, facilitated by Trump and in effect since October 10, concluded more than two years of conflict that resulted in the deaths of nearly 68,160 civilians and injured over 170,200 individuals.
The Gaza Government Media Office reports that Israel has allegedly breached the ceasefire agreement 80 times, leading to 97 fatalities and 230 injuries. Notably, 21 of these alleged violations were documented on Sunday alone.
