Hamas Denies US Claims of Ceasefire Breaches in Gaza

Hamas has dismissed accusations from the United States regarding ceasefire violations in Gaza, labeling them as unfounded allegations that echo Israeli disinformation and serve to legitimize the actions of the occupying forces.

The Palestinian Resistance group, Hamas, has vehemently denied accusations leveled by the US State Department, which charged the organization with planning an “imminent attack” and breaching the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. Hamas has labeled the accusations as “false” and aligning entirely with “Israeli propaganda.”

On Sunday, Hamas released a statement asserting that the US comments align seamlessly with the Israeli occupation’s misinformation, effectively offering political cover for its continued systemic crimes and hostilities against the Palestinian people.

The movement highlighted that “facts on the ground prove the exact opposite,” alleging that the Israeli occupation is involved in creating, arming, and funding criminal gangs accountable for killings, kidnappings, the looting of aid trucks, and the robbery of Palestinian civilians.

Hamas has declared that the occupation has “openly admitted to these crimes through media reports and recorded footage,” thus confirming its role in inciting chaos and destabilizing security.

Hamas emphasized that Gaza’s police forces, in collaboration with community initiatives, are fulfilling their national responsibility “to actively pursue and prosecute these groups through established legal channels, with the aim of protecting citizens and safeguarding both public and private property.”

The movement has urged the US administration to refrain from aligning with what it termed as the “occupation’s deceptive narrative” and to prioritize efforts in curbing the Israeli regime’s ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement. Among these violations, the movement highlighted the support and protection being extended to armed groups within territories under Israeli control.

Hamas has issued a statement, underscoring its dedication to safeguarding security and defending the Palestinian populace from organized aggression and attempts to destabilize internally.

The U.S. State Department announced that it has alerted the guarantor nations of the Gaza peace agreement about credible reports suggesting an impending ceasefire violation by Hamas targeting the people of Gaza.

“The proposed assault targeting Palestinian civilians represents a severe breach of the ceasefire agreement and threatens to undo the substantial progress made through mediation efforts. The guarantors insist that Hamas adhere to its responsibilities under the ceasefire terms,” the statement declared.

Officials in the Gaza Strip have reported multiple infractions by Israeli forces of the recently established ceasefire, citing 47 breaches since the pact was declared earlier this week.

Following the declaration of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces have reportedly engaged in numerous infractions, with the current tally reaching 47, according to an official statement released by authorities on Saturday. The statement further indicated that, as a result of these ongoing violations by Israeli forces, 38 individuals have lost their lives and 143 others have been injured to varying degrees.

Despite an internationally brokered agreement intended to halt the prolonged violence, Israeli assaults continue unabated. Recent reports indicate an escalating civilian toll, with dozens of Palestinians losing their lives and over a hundred injured since the ceasefire was supposed to be in effect.
