Gaza Forces Apprehend Zionist-Backed Gang Members, Secure Militant Positions
Hamas and other resistance factions in Gaza have reportedly apprehended a significant number of militants supported by the Israeli regime. These captures occurred during extensive security operations across the blockaded coastal enclave, as part of an ongoing campaign.

The Deterrent Force, associated with the security forces in the area, declared in a concise statement on Tuesday that it had “taken control of strongholds belonging to armed militia groups, cleared terrorists from several neighborhoods, and conducted operations targeting individuals responsible for the shooting and killing of displaced persons.”
Authorities reported the arrest of several individuals in the southern Gaza Strip, accused of collaborating with an armed militia and recruiting agents during the conflict.
This development follows just a day after Gaza’s security forces reportedly neutralized a key figure linked to an Israeli-supported gang associated with Daesh (ISIS), which has been implicated in actions contributing to Tel Aviv’s aggressive operations in the coastal region.
On Monday, Quds News Network reported, citing an unnamed security source, that an individual identified as “A.T.” was successfully confronted by the Resistance Security Apparatus of the blockaded territory. This operation was described as a “precise security ambush.”
According to the source, A.T. was responsible for enlisting militants for the organization led by Yasser Abu Shabab.
Earlier this year, Israel began supplying weapons and equipment to Abu Shabab’s faction amid its military actions in Gaza, which commenced in October 2023.
The support further enabled the group to perpetrate deadly acts of violence across Gaza, with a significant focus on the southern city of Rafah.
In June, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Israel had been supplying weapons and support to a group affiliated with Daesh as part of efforts to counter the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.
Prior to his ascendancy as the leader of the gang, Abu Shabab had served time in a Gaza prison. In 2024, he assumed control of the gang, prompting the elders and prominent figures of the esteemed Abu Shabab family to dissociate themselves from his fraction.
In its criminal activities, the gang has been looting essential aid and attacking Palestinians who gather near alleged aid distribution points, facilitated by U.S. backing and managed by Israel.
The regime has broadened its support to encompass a range of groups beyond the Abu Shabab clan. Among these is a faction associated with the Daghmash family, which recently carried out the assassination of Saleh al-Ja’frawi, a prominent Palestinian journalist and social media personality.
