Iranian Lawmaker Asserts Peak Defense Readiness for Armed Forces
A representative from the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has asserted that the nation's military forces are at peak readiness, issuing a stern warning that any threats will be met with a firm and decisive response.

Iran’s armed forces stand fully ready to counter any acts of aggression, according to Ebrahim Rezaei.
In an interview with Mehr news agency, he highlighted Iran’s defense and military advancements, stating, “I can confidently assert that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s defense and combat readiness today surpasses that of four months ago. We are fully prepared and will respond decisively to any acts of aggression.”
Rezaei stressed that any malevolent actions by the adversary would be met with a more severe and regrettable response from Iran than previously experienced.
He stated that the adversary lacks the capability to launch an attack on Iran and urged all sectors of society to maintain their regular routines, assuring that the public should not be concerned about potential conflict.
In other parts of his address, the lawmaker highlighted the implementation of the snapback mechanism against Iran. He noted that the Iranian parliament has criticized the activation of the mechanism as ‘illegal and cruel.’ Furthermore, two permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) have also deemed it illegal.
He emphasized that the reinstatement of United Nations sanctions through the snapback mechanism would have no impact on the nation.
The Iranian foreign ministry has criticized three European nations for initiating the snapback mechanism aimed at reinstating United Nations sanctions on Iran.
On June 13, hostilities erupted as the Zionist regime initiated a series of aggressive military campaigns against Iran, focusing on military, nuclear, and residential zones for nearly two weeks. The conflict intensified on June 22 when the United States conducted airstrikes on Iran, targeting key nuclear facilities located in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.
Iran’s Armed Forces executed a swift and decisive counteraction. The IRGC Aerospace Force launched 22 consecutive waves of missile strikes as part of Operation True Promise III, causing considerable destruction and substantial casualties in urban areas throughout the occupied regions.
In response to US attacks, Iranian forces launched a missile strike on al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest American military facility in West Asia.
The standoff concluded on June 24 following the implementation of a ceasefire.
