Two Dead Amid Escalating Clashes in Morocco Protests
Two individuals were fatally shot by Moroccan authorities as youth-led protests continued into their fifth consecutive day.

According to a report by France 24, a confrontation occurred on Wednesday in which officers fatally shot two individuals who were part of a group attempting to “storm” a police station in Morocco. This incident coincides with ongoing, sometimes violent, protests that are currently affecting the North African country.
Morocco has been engulfed in demonstrations for several consecutive days, driven by the newly established Gen Z 212 collective. This group, which operates from the Discord web platform, has enigmatic organizers whose identities remain undisclosed.
Morocco’s Ministry of the Interior reported on Wednesday that over 400 individuals had been detained and close to 300 sustained injuries amid demonstrations advocating for reforms in the country’s public health and education sectors.
