Hezbollah Commemorates Martyrdom Anniversary of Sayyed Nasrallah, Sayyed Safieddine

Hezbollah commemorates on Saturday the first martyrdom anniversary of its secretary generals Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, who were assassinated during the brutal 66-day Israeli war on Lebanon in late 2024.

A great ceremony is being held at 16:30 (Beirut time) on Saturday in the shrines of martyred Hezbollah Secretary Generals Sayyed Nasrallah, Sayyed Safieddine and Sayyed Abbas Al-Moussawi.

Sheikh Naim Qassem, the current leader of Hezbollah is to address the ceremony.

Sayyed Nasrallah’s shrine is in Beirut, near the Airport Road, while Sayyed Safieddine’s shrine is in the southern town of Deir Qanoun Al-Nahr. The shrine of Sayyed Al-Moussawi, who was assassinated by the Israeli enemy in February 1992, is in the town of Nabi Sheet, in Bekaa.

At 18:21, the time when 83 tons of explosives rocked Beirut’s Dahiyeh to assassinate Sayyed Nasrallah on September 27, 2024, a sentimental pause is being held today in several areas across Lebanon, in honor of the transnational leader.

Sayyed Safieddine was martyred on October 3, 2024, in another attack that involved more than 70 tons of explosives.

On Friday, thousands of resistance supporters gathered for the “Night of Ascension” ceremony held at the site where Sayyed Nasrallah was martyred.
