Three Palestinians killed as Israeli army steps up deadly raids in West Bank
At least three Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces as they expand their deadly raids across the occupied West Bank and continue bombardment of the besieged Gaza Strip.
The official Palestinian WAFA news agency, citing local sources and witnesses, reported that Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Tammun shortly after midnight on Thursday, and encircled a house on its eastern outskirts. The siege provoked confrontations in the area.
Witnesses said the Israeli army brought in heavy reinforcements, deploying large numbers of infantry and snipers around the neighborhood. Troops also fired several shells at the targeted house.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the two victims as Mohammad Qasem Suleiman, 29, and 20-year-old Alaa Jawdat Bani Odeh. Their bodies were reportedly taken away by the Israeli military.

Earlier in the day, a young Palestinian man was shot and killed in the village of Anza, south of Jenin.
Local sources identified the victim as 19-year-old Ahmed Jihad Barahmeh, stating he was struck by a bullet in the back and rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition before succumbing to his wounds.
Israeli troops raided the village on Wednesday morning, as students were on their way to school. Clashes broke out between residents and the occupying forces.
The soldiers seized the home of local resident Ali Bassam Ataya in the center of the village, using it as a military post.
They fired live ammunition in various directions, one of which hit Barahmeh, before the troops eventually withdrew from the village.
Israel has ramped up its aggression against Palestinians across the West Bank since October 7, 2023, when it launched a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.
Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and thousands of others injured by Israeli settlers or troops across the occupied territory since the onset of the war.
More than 700,000 Israelis live in over 230 settlements built since the 1967 Israeli occupation of the West Bank and East al-Quds.
The international community views the settlements as illegal under international law and the Geneva Conventions due to their construction on the occupied territories.
