The Palestinian resistance forces persisted in their confrontation with Israeli military forces in Gaza, resulting in additional casualties.
The Al-Qassam Brigades reportedly engaged a Merkava tank with two Yasin 105 shells in the vicinity of the Al-Anbashi Hassan Mosque in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood, situated south of Gaza City, yesterday afternoon.
On Monday, Al-Qassam fighters launched an operation targeting a group of opposing military personnel and vehicles near Sheikh Radwan Pool in Gaza City. The close-range engagement resulted in casualties and injuries among the soldiers.
The Al-Quds Brigades reported on Monday evening that they targeted enemy vehicles in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood, located in the southwest of Gaza City, using standard 60mm mortar shells.
Yedioth Ahronoth, the Hebrew newspaper, reported that a Major, serving as the commander of a company in the 77th Battalion of the 7th Armored Brigade, has been confirmed killed. The Major lost his life when the tank under his command was hit by an RPG shell in the southern sector of Gaza City, north of the Strip, the report noted.
In recent events, Israeli forces have escalated their military offensive, which Palestinian officials characterize as a genocidal conflict. This campaign involves widespread aerial and artillery strikes throughout the Gaza Strip, with a particular focus on Gaza City. The situation there is deteriorating, marked by acute shortages of food, widespread destruction, and a mounting death toll.
