Yemen Asserts Capability to Deliver Significant Strikes Against Zionist Enemy
Yemen's Defense Minister and the Chief of the General Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces have issued a stern warning, asserting that the nation is equipped with the capability and resources to inflict severe and decisive retaliatory strikes against Israel should any missteps occur.

In a joint statement on Saturday night, Major General Mohammed Nasser al-Atifi and Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari expressed a strong message to adversaries, specifically citing what they referred to as the “criminal Zionist entity,” arrogant regime proponents, and traitors. They emphasized the establishment of a formidable, advanced, and sophisticated military force, stating it is fully equipped to defend the homeland and the holy sites of the Muslim world.
The statement asserted that the Yemeni Armed Forces, leveraging their domestically developed military equipment and defense capabilities, are prepared to deliver a formidable response to any acts of aggression targeting the nation.
The statement emphasized that any actions perceived as desecrating the sanctities of Muslim nations by the Zionist entity will prompt a significant response. It warned that aggressors would face severe repercussions and a substantial cost.
The statement emphasized that the Tel Aviv administration has perpetrated an “unforgivable crime” through its assault on Yemen, an act that is expected to carry significant negative consequences for those involved.
Reports indicate that an Israeli air strike targeted Sana’a on August 28, resulting in the assassination of Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Ghalib al-Rahawi along with several government ministers.
Senior Yemeni military officials affirmed ongoing support for Palestinian resistance fighters in Gaza, stating that Yemeni naval forces will persistently target Israeli interests across the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden, as well as deep within the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Yemeni forces have announced their intention to persist with retaliatory actions until the Israeli military conflict in Gaza ends, and the harsh blockade on the coastal region is fully removed.
In reaction to the conflict that erupted in Gaza in October 2023, Yemeni forces have instituted a maritime blockade to disrupt the supply of military resources to Israel. They are also urging the global community to address the pressing humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Simultaneously, multiple missile and drone strikes were launched against key targets located within Israeli-occupied territories, demonstrating support for Palestinians in Gaza.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have explicitly announced their resolve to continue operations until Israel halts its ground and air assaults on Gaza.
The ongoing conflict in Gaza has claimed the lives of over 65,000 Palestinians, with a significant proportion being women and children.
