Gaza Besieged as Barbaric ‘israeli’ Forces Target Refugee Camps, Sever Internet Connectivity

Zionist regime has escalated its military campaign in Gaza, implementing a comprehensive internet blackout and launching airstrikes on 140 targets, including refugee shelters. The offensive has resulted in increasing civilian casualties and has sparked significant condemnation from both regional and international observers.

On the 712th day of Israel’s offensive against Gaza, the region experienced a total internet blackout as occupation forces intensified their ground and aerial assaults throughout the city.

Israeli military forces launched a series of airstrikes and artillery attacks on multiple locations, including al-Zahra school, residential areas in al-Daraj, areas to the north of al-Nuseirat camp, Sheikh Radwan, al-Shati camp, Tal al-Hawa, al-Sabra, al-Maghribi, al-Bureij camp, and several other districts.

In the latest update from the Palestinian Health Ministry, a toll of 59 fatalities and 386 injuries was reported in the last day. Figures show a staggering count of 12,413 Palestinians killed and 53,271 injured since the resumption of Israel’s offensive on March 18. The overall death toll in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has escalated to 64,964, alongside 165,312 wounded. Furthermore, numerous bodies are still believed to be trapped beneath the debris.

Al Jazeera has verified that internet services throughout Gaza have been disrupted amid ongoing tensions. The Israeli military has acknowledged targeting 140 locations in the city in just one day.

In Khan Younis, Israeli aircraft targeted tents housing displaced Palestinians in al-Mawasi, a region previously designated by Israel as a “safe” area. The attack resulted in the deaths of five individuals and left others injured.

Israeli media sources have reported that a rocket, launched from Yemen, targeted the occupied territories but was successfully intercepted by defense systems. Meanwhile, sirens were activated in Ramon near Eilat following the detection of a drone intrusion.

Qatar has issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s ground operations in Gaza, describing the action as “an extension of genocidal war against the Palestinian people and a flagrant violation of international law.” Meanwhile, Yemen’s Foreign Ministry has expressed disappointment with Arab and Islamic leaders for their perceived inaction, emphasizing that “the Zionists only understand the language of force.”

Local Palestinian sources have reported additional Israeli airstrikes targeting the Sheikh Radwan area in northwest Gaza later in the day.

The ongoing massacres, the communication blackout, and the targeting of designated safe zones highlight the escalating intensity of Israel’s military campaign, leaving Gaza isolated under incessant attack and prompting widespread international condemnation over alleged acts of genocide.
