Turkish Cyber Attackers Target Zionist War Minister in Online Assault

Hackers accessed the personal phone number of Israel Katz and conducted a video call.

Katz inadvertently answered the call, promptly disconnecting, yet not before his perplexed expression was captured and disseminated online by the attackers.

The phone line associated with the minister’s contact was subsequently disconnected.

The attack is broadly perceived as a reprisal for Katz’s August post on Turkish social media, where he delivered a stern message against President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, sparking a wave of outrage across Turkey.

According to reports, a hacker allegedly succeeded in delivering an insult to Katz before the call was abruptly terminated.

This marks the most recent instance in a string of cyber attacks targeting high-ranking officials of Israel’s government.

In August, reports emerged that the personal phone of former Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked was compromised following her interaction with a malicious link.

Despite prior warnings issued by security officials, the attackers successfully obtained complete access to her device.

Several other incidents have been directed at prominent cultural figures.

The Jerusalem Post has reported that numerous Israeli actors were victims of a phishing scam, which falsely advertised auditions for a new movie in order to deceive participants.

Hackers have reportedly demanded test videos and personal documents, such as copies of passports and addresses.

Individuals who initially identified as victims subsequently received intimidating messages allegedly associated with the perpetrators.

An actress recently disclosed that she was asked to provide a personal video outlining her suitability for a project reportedly linked to filmmaker Ari Folman.

Reports indicate an escalation in such campaigns, with Israeli media asserting that the objective is to collect personal data potentially aiding future operations within the occupied territories.

The increasing surge of cyber-attacks has cast significant doubt on the regime’s capability to safeguard its officials and institutions.
