Resistance Movements Denounce ‘israeli’ Killing of Yemeni Officials, Pledge Ongoing Fight

Resistance movements have released forceful statements expressing both mourning and condemnation in response to the Israeli regime's assassination of nine high-ranking Yemeni officials.

In a joint statement released on Saturday, Palestinian resistance groups praised recent actions for successfully neutralizing long-time advocates of the Palestinian people and their cause.

They affirmed that the intensifying operations by what they termed the “Nazi Zionist” forces would not undermine the resilience of the Yemeni population or lessen their backing for Palestine.

In a statement expressing condolences to Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s Ansarallah resistance movement, along with the country’s President Mahdi al-Mashat and the families of the martyrs, factions affirmed their commitment to continue their “jihad of victory or martyrdom.”

The Gaza Strip’s Hamas resistance faction highlighted the unification of Yemeni and Palestinian forces in the al-Aqsa Storm Operation.

The events of October 7, 2023, involving the audacious operation by Gazan resistance groups, were met with a forceful military response from Israel, which has been described as initiating a genocidal campaign against the Gaza Strip.

Yemen’s Armed Forces, along with various regional resistance movements, initiated a series of retaliatory operations in support of the beleaguered Palestinian population, executing numerous coordinated strikes on multiple significant Israeli targets.

Hamas stated that “the sacrifice of these pure and cherished lives serves to reinforce the unity of our people and underscores the core importance of our cause.”

The movement has denounced the Israeli attacks, labeling them as acts of “Zionist arrogance” that defy international norms and laws. It further issued a caution regarding the potential threat posed by the entity to the region as a whole.

Islamic Jihad, an ally of Hamas in Gaza, referred to the Yemeni officials’ deaths as a “badge of honor, pride, and dignity,” highlighting what they perceive as the “unity of blood” connecting the Palestinian and Yemeni peoples.

The statement reaffirmed its unwavering belief in Yemen’s determination to hold the “usurping entity” accountable for its actions.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine has criticized the effectiveness of the Israeli regime’s assassination strategies, declaring that such policies have demonstrated “impotence and failure.”

The statement pledged that the blood of the martyrs would continue to serve as “fuel for the journey of resilience,” while commending the fallen Yemeni leaders as exemplars of fidelity to the Palestinian cause.

The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement characterized the strike as definitive evidence supporting the validity of their trajectory, highlighting the adversary’s “helplessness and failure” in response to Yemen’s formidable offensives.

It vowed that Palestinians will forever remember Yemen’s contributions and sacrifices.

Fatah al-Intifada has lauded the acts of heroism witnessed in Yemen, asserting that recent assassinations will bolster their resolve and their commitment to remain within the resistance movement.

The Hezbollah resistance movement in Lebanon expressed its deep condolences and sincere sympathies to the Yemeni people and the leader of Ansarullah during a period of mourning.

The assault described as “treacherous and cowardly Zionist aggression” was denounced, as it targeted an official government meeting in Sana’a. The strong backing of Yemen for Palestine was lauded, being characterized as “the truest model of commitment.”

Following the recent Israeli airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahawi of the National Government of Change and Construction, along with other officials holding various positions, have lost their lives.

The attacks occurred amidst the regime’s ongoing military operations against the nation.

The assaults commenced as Yemen’s Armed Forces initiated near-daily operations targeting sensitive Israeli sites, in retaliation to what they describe as the genocidal conflict.
