Iran Penetrates ‘israel’s’ Missile Defense Systems in Recent Conflict, Says Defense Minister
Iran's defense minister has lauded the advanced military prowess demonstrated by the country's Armed Forces during the 12-day conflict involving aggression by the United States and Israel. This assertion underscores the Islamic Republic's commitment to showcasing its defensive capabilities on the international stage.

Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh highlighted on Tuesday the accomplishments of Iran’s defense industry, underscoring the nation’s military strength as demonstrated during the US-Israeli conflict.
In a strategic military maneuver, the Armed Forces effectively breached the complex air defense systems of the Zionist regime, systems bolstered by Western nations and the United States. Utilizing technologically advanced missiles developed within the defense sector, these operations resulted in the successful targeting and destruction of numerous military sites, according to statements by Nasirzadeh.
Iran’s defense minister lauded the Armed Forces for their commitment to self-reliance and emphasis on knowledge, ongoing innovation, and cutting-edge technologies. This aligns with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s directives to sustain and bolster readiness against potential threats.
On June 13, Israeli forces initiated a significant and unexpected military offensive against Iran, resulting in a 12-day conflict which claimed the lives of at least 1,064 individuals, encompassing military leaders, nuclear experts, and civilians.
The United States has engaged in military action by striking three Iranian nuclear facilities, raising serious concerns over potential breaches of international law.
In retaliation, the Iranian Armed Forces launched strikes on strategic locations within the occupied territories and targeted the al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, recognized as the largest American military installation in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran effectively retaliated against both Israel and the United States, successfully curtailing the ongoing aggression.
Iran requires a robust military to effectively counter potential threats, according to a senior commander.
Army Commander Major General Amir Hatami emphasized on Wednesday the necessity for Iran to maintain a formidable military force to ensure national security. He asserted that, given the prevailing conditions, the nation has no alternative but to enhance its strength.
Hatami emphasized the necessity of becoming strong and powerful, stating, “A powerful Army is essential to protect our nation; it is one where every sector effectively fulfills its missions and duties.”
The senior military official emphasized the Army’s vital contribution to preserving Iran’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the framework of the Islamic Republic, stating, “Such responsibilities are vital for any nation, but in Iran, given our strategic and geopolitical standing, they hold even greater importance.”
In condemning the actions of Israel, he cautioned that the area hosts “an occupying regime known for harming children,” whose principle dictates that no nation should surpass the strength of this unlawful entity.
The commander highlighted that during ongoing negotiations over the Islamic Republic’s peaceful nuclear program, a 12-day conflict was imposed on Iran by the Israeli regime and the United States, contravening international standards and human rights principles.
