Imam Ayatollah Khamenei Praises Pezheskian, Emphasizes Unwavering Unity Among Citizens, Government, and Military

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed, has underscored the importance of maintaining national unity and bolstering the support for the nation's officials. He cautioned that adversaries are attempting to sow discord following their unsuccessful attempts to overcome Iran militarily.

Addressing a commemorative event in Tehran on Sunday to mark the anniversary of Imam Reza’s martyrdom, the Leader emphasized to thousands of attendees from diverse backgrounds that the “unassailable bond of solidarity between the citizenry, government officials, and the Armed Forces must remain intact and must never be compromised.”

Ayatollah Khamenei asserted that the Iranian nation has resolutely opposed what he described as the United States’ demeaning demand for submission and pledged that Iran will persist in its resistance with unwavering strength.

He observed that adversaries, recognizing their inability to subdue Iran through military confrontation due to past defeats, are now aiming to undermine the nation by sowing discord.

The Leader referenced the conflict described as an Israeli-US aggression against Iran, initiated on June 13. Hostilities were suspended on June 25 after Iran launched a series of persistent missile strikes against Israel, which reportedly overwhelmed Israel’s defensive capabilities.

Ayatollah Khamenei has called on all Iranians, particularly intellectuals and media representatives, to protect the unity that has been established following the war. He emphasized the importance of supporting public servants, with a special mention of the “hardworking and tireless president.”

In addressing a query regarding the underlying reasons for US hostility toward Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the matter extends beyond straightforward explanations and has been a longstanding issue for over forty years, enduring through multiple American administrations.

He observed that Washington has historically cloaked its hostility with justifications like terrorism, human rights, women’s issues, or democracy. However, the current US president has candidly exposed the actual motive.

“The Leader stated that the confrontation with Iran stems from a desire for Iran to be subservient to America, noting he was paraphrasing comments made by Trump.”

Ayatollah Khamenei expressed that the anticipation is perceived as an affront to the Iranian nation’s storied past, dignity, and accomplishments.

Iran has expressed strong opposition to what it perceives as attempts by the United States to exert control over the country. An official statement emphasized that such demands have deeply offended the Iranian nation, which remains resolute in standing against any entities that hold such expectations.

He criticized proponents of the idea that direct talks with Washington might resolve the nation’s issues, labeling such perspectives as superficial.

Ayatollah Khamenei mentioned that, after a recent incident in Iran on June 13, groups with ties to the United States gathered the following day in a European capital to deliberate on the formation of a “post-Islamic Republic” government.

Sources report that there was a high level of confidence in the impact of the strike, with expectations that it would destabilize Iran and incite public opposition against the regime. So assured were they in this outcome that a potential monarch was even designated in anticipation.

The Leader criticized a gathering that included individuals scheming to replace the Islamic Republic, pointing out that an Iranian was among them and expressing disapproval by saying “shame on him.”

He highlighted that the citizens of Iran, in unity with the Armed Forces, the government, and the overall system, delivered a significant setback to such plans through their determination.

Ayatollah Khamenei has issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s actions in Gaza, characterizing the widespread starvation and the deaths of children as historically unparalleled atrocities.

In another part of his address, the Leader criticized Western governments, stating that their verbal condemnations were inadequate. He called for tangible actions to terminate all forms of support to Israel.

He commended the Yemeni populace for their stance against Israel, describing it as a “correct” response. Additionally, he reiterated Iran’s preparedness to undertake any conceivable actions in support of the cause.

He expressed hopes that divine intervention would favor the Iranian nation’s movement and truth-seekers globally, aiming to eradicate what he described as a malignant cancer.
