Supreme Leader of Islamic Ummah Condemns US ‘Obedience’ Notion, Cautions Against Divisive Schemes

Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, strongly refuted any notion that Iran would capitulate to the United States, emphasizing that, following numerous unsuccessful attempts at military engagement, the adversary is now attempting to incite internal discord within the nation.

In a gathering on Sunday at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah in Tehran, attended by thousands from various sectors, Ayatollah Khamenei commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shiite Imam. He asserted that Iran’s adversaries have understood from their “bitter defeats in military confrontations” and from the “steadfast resistance and unity of the Iranian nation, officials, and Armed Forces,” that both the populace and the Islamic Republic remain impervious to subjugation through warfare or coercion into compliance.

The Leader has cautioned that adversaries are attempting to achieve their goals by sowing discord within Iran.

Ayatollah Khamenei underscored the collective duty of citizens, officials, intellectuals, and writers to uphold and bolster the nation’s “steel shield” of sacred and profound unity.

He characterized the Iranian nation’s resilience during the recent 12-day conflict as a significant source of global respect. The Leader raised an inquiry: “What truly drives the United States’ continued antagonism towards Iran over the last 45 years?”

Ayatollah Khamenei stated that although successive U.S. administrations have historically masked their hostility towards Iran with slogans related to terrorism, human rights, democracy, and women’s rights, the current administration has been candid in acknowledging their true intention, directly stating, “We want Iran to listen to us.”

The Leader emphasized that Washington’s objective is to transform a historically proud and illustrious nation into a compliant follower that adheres to its directives.

In a denunciation of the rhetoric deemed as offensive to the Iranian nation, the Leader declared that the citizens will not tolerate such demands and will resolutely resist.

Ayatollah Khamenei has connected the recent conflict to a broader adversarial agenda, asserting that the Zionist regime, supported by the United States, attempted to dismantle the Islamic Republic but faced a resounding defeat at the hands of the Iranian people.

The leader has rejected the notion of any potential divide between the populace and the Islamic Establishment as a “baseless illusion,” emphasizing that the nation remains steadfast in its support for both the Armed Forces and the government.

He praised the Iranian military units’ demonstration of strength as a transformative moment that garnered the appreciation of the entire nation, emphasizing that Iran’s power is set to increase progressively.

Ayatollah Khamenei issued a warning that as adversaries have recognized their inability to overcome Iran through military conflict, they are shifting their focus to schemes designed to sow discord within the nation.

The Leader issued a warning regarding internal agents, Zionist influences, and reckless voices that could potentially incite discord, while commending the Iranian populace for upholding unity amid political and social divergences.

The Leader emphasized the crucial importance of maintaining unity across all sections of society, including the public and the government, as well as within the ranks of officials and between the nation and its Armed Forces. He highlighted that current adversarial efforts are primarily aimed at disrupting this cohesion.

Ayatollah Khamenei characterized the Zionist regime as the world’s most reviled, asserting that even its longstanding Western allies, including Britain and France, have been compelled to issue verbal condemnations, albeit without substantive impact.

The leader issued a forceful denunciation of Israeli actions, describing them as unparalleled in human history. This includes allegations of starving children and shooting them as they awaited food supplies.

The Leader emphasized that verbal condemnations are insufficient, underscoring the necessity for effective resistance, citing the courageous actions of the Yemeni people in obstructing aid routes to the Zionist regime.

Ayatollah Khamenei reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to taking decisive measures against Zionist actions, expressing optimism that divine intervention will support the endeavors of the Iranian people and all advocates of freedom. He called for the elimination of what he described as the “deep and malignant cancer” of Zionism from the region, while urging unity and awareness among Muslim nations.
