Zionist Military Grapples with Declining Morale, Manpower Shortages, and Logistical Challenges: Think Tank Report

The zionist military is currently grappling with challenges related to morale, personnel, and logistics, nearing two years following the waning of the conflict.

According to a recent study conducted by a Lebanese think tank, the Israeli military is reportedly grappling with issues related to morale, manpower, and logistics nearly two years following the conflict in Gaza.

A study released on Saturday by the Union Center for Research and Development highlights the escalating suicide rates among soldiers, indicating eroding morale within the ranks. The report also points to a growing trust gap between political leaders and the military forces.

The analysis conducted on the occupation army’s situation between August 1 and 20, 2025, reveals a critical human resources crisis as a significant vulnerability. The army faces a severe deficit in conscripts and reserves, coupled with declining adherence to mobilization directives. Additionally, there is noticeable hesitance among certain groups, such as the Haredim, to engage in service.

The armed forces are facing a significant decline in both logistical and material capabilities. Military equipment is experiencing notable wear and tear, while the ability to replace or upgrade it in a timely manner has markedly diminished. There have been instances where soldiers have turned to collecting donations for basic gear, highlighting the extensive depletion in both field operations and structural resources.

The report highlighted an upward trend in suicide rates among Israeli occupation soldiers, noting that 17 soldiers have taken their own lives thus far in 2025.

Tensions are intensifying within Israel over the ongoing conflict in Gaza, with prominent voices from former military and security officials advocating for an immediate cessation of hostilities. These voices argue that the military successes are now a strategic and political liability, according to a study by the Union Center for Research and Development.

The city of Tel Aviv is reportedly seeking to engage Jewish communities abroad, from the United States to France, as part of an urgent effort to address its current challenges.

In the face of significant challenges, the occupying military force is advancing plans for an extensive ground operation aimed at seizing control of Gaza City. This initiative highlights the determination of both political and military leaders in Israel to craft a symbolic triumph and restore a diminished deterrent reputation, as outlined in the study.

The Union Center for Research and Development has concluded that, considering the significant attrition faced by the army, any operation undertaken poses substantial risks. Without achieving clear and decisive successes, there is a danger of accelerating the depletion of its military capabilities and highlighting the constraints of its power.
