US-Israeli Genocide in Gaza: Reported Death Toll Climbs to 62,004

The number of fatalities in Gaza has climbed to 62,004 amid Israel's ongoing military operation, which has been marked by strikes impacting civilian areas within the blockaded region.

In recent developments, those seeking humanitarian assistance have become primary targets in the latest series of strikes by the Israeli regime.

Since the early hours of Monday, at least 30 Palestinians have lost their lives in assaults across the Gaza Strip, with 14 among them reportedly seeking assistance.

According to a medical source, three Palestinians lost their lives and several others sustained injuries following an Israeli strike in the al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City. Among those affected was journalist Islam al-Koumi.

Israeli forces reportedly opened fire on individuals awaiting aid near Kissufim, east of Deir al-Balah, resulting in the deaths of four civilians.

In Gaza City and Deir al-Balah, Israeli artillery fire resulted in the deaths of four Palestinians, among them a journalist.

In a tragic incident west of Khan Yunis, two Palestinians, including a child, lost their lives when a tent housing displaced individuals was struck.

According to Palestinian officials, nearly 30 individuals seeking aid perished on Monday, pushing the total death toll of those killed while waiting for food assistance to more than 1,960.

Israeli attacks on Gaza City have escalated, with the heavily devastated urban area witnessing increased military activity. The government is reportedly aiming to relocate tens of thousands of residents to southern regions.

Al Jazeera has reported that Israel is employing heavy artillery, fighter jets, and drones, resulting in the destruction of remaining residential homes. The news outlet described the extent of the devastation as profoundly overwhelming.

Amid ongoing hostilities, numerous individuals forced to flee repeatedly during the ongoing genocidal conflict are once again relocating from Gaza City. Meanwhile, some residents have chosen to stay in the area. On Sunday, the city faced intensive airstrikes, leading to approximately 60 fatalities and additional assaults on the scarce healthcare facilities that continue to operate.

Amid the ruins and temporary shelters, numerous Palestinians express deep despair about their inability to leave. A displaced man, Bilal Abu Sitta, voiced his frustration, saying, “How am I supposed to even get there? I need nearly $900 to move—I don’t even have a dollar.”

Hospitals in Gaza have announced five additional deaths linked to malnutrition, among them two children, increasing the overall death toll to 263, which includes 112 children.

The relentless conflict, described as genocidal in nature, has resulted in the tragic loss of over 62,000 civilian lives and has left 156,230 individuals wounded.
