4 Million Flee as Yemeni Missile Breaches Israeli Defense Systems
Yemen's Armed Forces have launched a hypersonic ballistic missile targeting a key Israeli airport, signaling ongoing support for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The action comes amid a nearly 22-month-long conflict characterized by what Yemen describes as a genocidal war led by Israel.

In a statement released on Friday, the forces revealed that they had carried out an operation targeting Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv using a “Palestine-2” projectile.
The operation successfully achieved its objective, forcing over four million Zionist settlers to seek refuge in shelters and halting operations at the airport, they reported.
The strike formed a component of the ongoing aerial blockade implemented by the military, aimed at pressuring the regime to cease hostilities. Additionally, a near-comprehensive siege has been concurrently enforced on Gaza.
The aerial blockade has frequently prompted the forces to launch various missile variants targeting the airport.
On Friday, national airlines from Italy and India announced an extension of their flight suspensions to Ben Gurion Airport. The Italian airline will maintain the suspension until September 30, while the Indian airline is extending the suspension until October 25.
The blockade, initiated in May, represented a significant intensification of military pro-Palestinian actions targeting critical and strategic sites in Israel. These operations commenced soon after the onset of the conflict on October 7, 2023.
**”Missile Launch Frequency: One Every Two Days”**
According to Doron Kadosh, an Israeli military correspondent, Yemeni forces have launched at least 15 missiles toward the occupied Palestinian territories over the past month. This frequency translates to an average of one missile being fired every two days.
Kadosh reports that military personnel have fired around 67 ballistic missiles and 18 armed drones at Israeli targets since March.
In a statement released on Friday, Yemeni forces announced they are actively observing the actions and strategies of opposition forces, aimed at disrupting the support front in Yemen.
The Israeli regime has been conducting intensive assaults on critical Yemeni infrastructure in an attempt to compel Sana’a to halt its pro-Palestinian activities.
The servicemen emphasized that both they and the Yemeni population remain acutely vigilant and fully equipped to counter any hostile activities, committed to ensuring these efforts are neutralized as previous plans, conspiracies, and movements have been successfully thwarted in the past.
