Hezbollah Leader Condemns Silence on Gaza, Advocates for Israel Boycott

The leader of the Hezbollah resistance movement has criticized the international community's failure to act against what has been described as genocide in Gaza. He has called on Arab and Islamic countries to cease all normalization efforts with Israel and to implement comprehensive sanctions against the regime.

On Tuesday, Sheikh Naim Qassem released a statement condemning the US-Israeli actions in Gaza, characterizing the situation as marked by “extreme brutality, genocide, and starvation” that surpasses all established human and moral norms.

He described the dire humanitarian situation in the blockaded Palestinian territory as a “mass killing of the starved,” accusing world leaders and organizations of being complicit through their lack of response.

Qassem remarked that the collective appeal from 25 Western countries, including Britain, France, and Canada, for an immediate ceasefire is insufficient to halt the conflict in Gaza.

Calls for accountability emphasize that verbal condemnations alone are insufficient. Action is demanded through the implementation of sanctions, isolation, prosecution, and the cessation of all engagements with Israel to end the ongoing violence and crimes.

Qassem stressed the importance of Arab and Islamic governments and citizens taking a firm stance against normalization initiatives, urging them to undertake concrete actions in support of Palestine.

He urged for the cessation of normalization efforts, the closure of enemy embassies, and the halting of trade exchanges. He called for unity in supporting Palestine and Gaza, even with the most basic necessities. He asserted that when America witnesses a united front and a unified voice in support of the Palestinian people, it will be compelled to withdraw its stance.

He cautioned that the world’s inaction would be marked in history as a moment of shame, referencing the Quranic verse: “Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed.”

He declared that history will mark this disgrace upon the leaders of humanity and their institutions during a period of severe starvation and widespread killing.

In his closing remarks, Qassem delivered a stern warning to those who choose to remain silent, stating, “The injustices perpetrated by America and Israel will inevitably affect those who turn a blind eye to oppression.”

The leader of Hezbollah stated that Israel’s “brutality and hubris” are destined to bring about its downfall.
